CHS Indoor Walking Track Information

Overview

The Cohoes City School District invites city residents to utilize its new, suspended walking track at the Alumni Gymnasium located at the renovated Cohoes High School. Residents wishing to use the track MUST OBTAIN A GUEST TRACK ID card.*  There is a one-time $10 fee for processing of the ID badge. Replacement IDs will cost $5. Hours are restricted (see below).

*District employees who wish to use the track do not need to apply for a separate ID, but will be required to wear their district ID if using the track during community hours.

Dates/Hours of Operation

November 1, 2012 - April 26, 2013

Mondays—Fridays
Mornings: 6:40 a.m.—7:40 a.m.
Evenings: 7 p.m.—9 p.m.*

*excluding Varsity athletic contests
Please note that it is possible for the track to be closed to guests without notice. We encourage you to stay informed of any schedule changes by visiting the district website.

*Entrance is in the front of the school, using the door that is LEFT of the main entrance.

Rules of Use

• The walking track at Cohoes High School is for use by Cohoes residents ONLY.

• Ages 18 and older ONLY.

• Use of walking track is at your own risk.

• All track users must have an ID badge issued prior to using the track.

• ID badges must be worn and visible at all times.

• Track may be closed without notice. When school is not in session, the track will not open. Check website for schedule updates.

• Parking is permitted in visitor or student parking areas.

• Enter and exit through door to left of the high school’s Main Entrance.

• Pets are not allowed.

• Please use cell phones courteously.

• Appropriate shirts and sneakers/walking shoes are a must. No cleats, sneaker skates allowed.

• Access to other parts of the building is not permitted.

• Access may be revoked if guidelines are not followed.

• The district is not responsible for anything lost, stolen or damaged.

How to obtain Guest Track ID badge

A guest badge can be obtained at the Cohoes Middle School (CMS) main entrance. CMS is located at 7 Bevan Street. There is a one-time fee of $10 for processing of identification card and the required holder/lanyard. Badge processing is available Monday—Friday between the hours of 10:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. ONLY.

Lost or stolen ID badges will be replaced for $5. Please remember that for our students’ safety, badges must be visible at all times.
