CMS students take a walk through history

Seventh grade students from Cohoes Middle School's Team 4 recently took a a walking field trip recently to the abandoned Erie Canal locks in George Street Park. Visiting the former sites of Locks 9 and 10, Students learned about the history of the canal in New York State and in Cohoes. They also learned how the locks worked and how important they were to the economic development of New York State and the city of Cohoes. All together, students and teachers alike shared a fun afternoon.
