Girls' track places 3rd overall at prestigious Eddy MeetZhane Smith, Hannah Ragule and Natalie Ricci

May 30, 2017—Cohoes girls' trackZhane Smith and Natalie Ricci took third place overall at the Eddy Meet on Saturday, May 20 at Schenectady High School. Cohoes only participated in 5 events. Natalie Ricci won the 100m dash with a time of 12.56. She then took second place in the 200m dash against Class A schools with a personal best time of 25.40. Ricci is currently ranked 19th overall in New York State in the 100m dash, and 18th overall in the 200m dash. Zhane Smith ran the 400m dash with a personal best time of 56.58. Zhane is ranked 8th in the state in this event. Freshman Hannah Ragule ran the 400m hurdles and placed 10th overall.

“These girls continue to amaze me with their determination and hard work to be the best of the best,” said Coach Keira Hovey. “I’m so proud of them and all they have accomplished this season.”

More than 33 teams from across the state competed at the Eddy Meet, known as one of the elite meets in New York State.
