August 23, 2017—There's just two weeks left until school starts. Are your children ready for the first day? They might be thinking, "school supplies...check. New sneakers...check." but what about their health?

Did they get a dental screening over the summer? If not, call to make an appointment before school begins!

Are their shots up-to-date? The state has new requirements for the meningitis vaccine. If you don't know, call your child's pediatrician.

And lastly, consider sleep!

Over the summer, it's natural for bedtime to shift to a later hour. The sun sets later and there are so many fun outdoor activities in the evenings in Cohoes, bedtime creeps past 9 p.m. regularly without anyone even realizing it.

Consider starting to move bedtime earlier 10 minutes at a time until you reach your healthy bedtime. Slowly, your child will adjust their sleep habits and have no trouble getting up early for school when the first day comes on Wednesday, September 6!
