The Cohoes City School District has received an allotment of at-home COVID-19 test kits from New York State. The purpose of these tests is to monitor the spread of COVID-19 within our community as part of the ongoing effort to keep our school buildings open for in-person instruction. Tests can be administered whether or not a student is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
While the district has received hundreds of tests, please keep in mind that we have not yet received our full allotment; therefore, quantities may be limited during initial distribution. If you are unable to pick up a test at your child’s school or if supplies run out, please be assured that when we receive the remaining kits, we will distribute them as soon as possible.
Test kits must be picked up by a parent or guardian; they will not be sent home with students. We have organized COVID-19 test kit distribution stations at each of our five schools on Wednesday. Jan. 5 and Thursday. Jan. 6 from 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm. Families will be provided with one test kit per enrolled student. Each kit includes two tests. For your convenience, you may pick up all your test kits at one location.
