Card and Strategy Club

At the Card and Strategy Club we gather to play various games. We have an assortment of board games from Chess to Battleship. Our members often bring their own games and card collections including Pokemon, You-gi-oh, etc. We also have Shuffleboard and Foosball tournaments every week.

Music Club

Advisor: Mr. Warden

The purpose of the Music Club is to bring students together in a fun and friendly environment to perform a variety of songs and creative musical activities on school instruments. Club goals include: to teach and support positive social interaction among each other; to foster friendships and connections through music across grade levels; to share music and songwriting knowledge with one another; and to have fun! Club members will have free choice of which songs and activities to perform. Activities range from performing popular music on the ukulele to songwriting exercises. Positive interactions (both personal and musical) and social skills will be modeled, encouraged and rewarded.

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)

Advisor: Mrs. Jennings

National Junior Honor Society is a nationwide organization that recognizes outstanding middle school students. The society is more than just an honor roll. NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, character and citizenship. Membership not only recognizes students for their academic accomplishments, but challenges them to develop their character further through active involvement in school activities and community service.

To be eligible for acceptance into NJHS, students need to maintain an overall average of 89.5% in their core academic subjects for all of 6th grade and the first three quarters of 7th grade. Once a student is academically eligible, they will be notified that they are under consideration to be accepted and will need to complete a Personal Statement. A faculty advisory council will review the Personal Statement, and vote on candidates based on how well they demonstrate leadership, service, character and citizenship.
