VI. REPORT FROM MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION
- THAT the Board of Education accepts the Minutes of the Board of Education Meeting of January 6, 2021.
- THAT the Board of Education accepts the Minutes of the Committee on Special Education for the following meeting dates: 11/6/20, 11/10/20, 11/13/20, 11/16/20, 11/17/20, 11/19/20, 11/23/20, 12/7/20, 12/8/20, 12/10/20, 12/11/20, 12/15/20, 12/16/20, 12/18/20 and 12/21/20.
- THAT the Board of Education approves a contract with Vanderheyden, in Wynantskill, New York for special education services during the 2020/21 SY for the period December 16, 2020 – June 25, 2021 at a rate of $44,321 per student and during the ESY period July – August 2021 at a rate of $7,387. These rates are subject to change based on NYSED finalized rates.
- THAT the Board of Education establishes Tuesday, May 18, 2021 as School Board Election and Budget Vote Day with polling hours from 12 Noon – 9 PM at Abram Lansing, Harmony Hill and Van Schaick Elementary Schools.
- THAT the Board of Education designates April 12 – April 15, 2021 and April 19 –22, 2021 as Voter Registration Days at the following locations during normal school hours: Abram Lansing, Harmony Hill and Van Schaick Elementary Schools.
- THAT the Board of Education appoints the following individuals to the 2021 Board of Voter Registration at no additional compensation: Jacqueline DeChiaro, Carla Rogers, Cliff Bird and Michelle Perry.
- THAT the Board of Education approves change order CO-02-001 on NYS Education Department Project #01-05-00-01-0-010-010 Referendum 2019, for Boiler Replacement at Harmony Hill Elementary School.

VII. RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT – PERSONNEL
INSTRUCTIONAL
- THAT the Board of Education accepts the resignation for retirement purposes of Kelly Burtnick from her position of Elementary Teacher.
Effective: June 30, 2021 - THAT the Board of Education accepts the resignation for retirement purposes of Richetta Hansen from her position of Elementary Teacher.
Effective: June 30, 2021 - THAT the Board of Education accepts the resignation for retirement purposes of Judith Kubik from her position of Science Teacher.
Effective: June 30, 2021 - THAT the Board of Education accepts the resignation for retirement purposes of Evelyn Smith from her position of Social Worker.
Effective: June 30, 2021 - THAT the Board of Education approves the following school psychology practicum students from the College of Saint Rose for placement within the district for a minimum of 240 hours during the spring semester 2021 from 1/11/21 – 5/5/21:

- BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Board of Education of the Cohoes City School District hereby appoints Shannon Millet to the position of Part-Time Teacher Aide subject to the rules of the Cohoes Civil Service Commission on an emergency conditional basis, in accordance with the Civil Service Rules, such appointment is a temporary appointment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT this appointment is made on an emergency conditional basis and subject to both a statement from Ms. Willett regarding criminal conviction(s) or pending criminal charges and the receipt of criminal background clearance from the Commissioner of Education. Her continued employment is specifically contingent upon the District’s receipt of notice from the Commissioner of Education that she is fully cleared for employment.

- THAT the Board of Education is aware of the following donation in the amount of $1,000 from the Cohoes Waterford Elks to be used for various student activities.
