Cohoes senior Tatianna Rivera-Truesell has been named the 2019 recipient of the Dawn Peacock Award.
Rivera-Truesell, who aspires to a career as a baker, was presented the award during the June 4 Capital Region BOCES Career and Technical School Graduation and Awards ceremony at Proctors.
The scholarship is presented annually in memory of an outstanding CTE culinary arts student.
She was also awarded the Outstanding Student designation by Chef/Teacher Paul Rother. Rivera-Truesell plans to attend SUNY Delhi in the fall to pursue a culinary degree.
“I want to one day own my own bakery. Attending BOCES has shown me that that career can be a reality,” she said.
