Throughout the month of March, students at Harmony Hill have been collecting change for Pennies for Patients, a fundraising program that benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The school upped the ante on Wednesday, March 21 with Stuck for a Buck. Students and teachers each donated $1 for a piece of duct tape, which they used to collectively tape Harmony Hill Principal Mark Perry and kindergarten student Lucas Santoro to a wall in the gym. They raised $808.
The school’s fundraising efforts were inspired by Lucas, who is a survivor of acute lymphoblastic leukemia after being diagnosed at the age of two.
