Cohoes Middle School students, families, and teachers have adapted quite rapidly to the disruption of COVID-19. Our teachers have created high quality learning opportunities, parents have risen to the challenge of homeschooling, and we all have struggled to find and provide enrichment activities for our children as we navigate through these uncertain times. Thank you for your strong efforts…
Promotion Activities
8th Grade Digital Promotion Ceremony – Wednesday, June 17 at 6 p.m.
This event is online and a link will be published to 8th grade families via Schoology. This ceremony will be both a nod to tradition and embrace a digital format to recognize our students transitioning to Cohoes High School.
8th Grade Promotional Walk Through – Thursday, June 18 from 5-7 p.m.
This event will allow transitioning 8th grade students to walk through a path we will create on our campus grounds. Students will have a personalized sign and can bring a sharpie to leave well wishes for their peers. Our friends at the Cohoes Common Council will have a gift bag for each student. Our PTO will create two photo stations. A detailed schedule is forthcoming to ensure social distancing (Rain Date: June 19).
8th Grade Promotion Certificate Pick-up – Monday, June 22 from 9 a.m. to noon
Students may pick-up their official promotion certificate, sign from our walk through event, and any awards they may have received during our online promotion ceremony. Additionally, 8th grade students can return Chromebooks, library books, and textbooks.
