The Draft 2023-24 District Wide Safety Plan is available for public comment for 30 days, through July 27.
Comments should be submitted directly to Mary Rumsey, district clerk at mrumsey@cohoes.org no later than 4 p.m. on July 27, 2023.
All comments will be reviewed. It is anticipated that the plan will be recommended for approval at an August Board of Education meeting.
The District Wide Safety Plan is required by law to ensure that schools are ready to prevent or minimize the effects of serious incidents and emergencies. It is also used to facilitate coordination with local and county resources in the event of an emergency.
The plan addresses the needs of all schools within the district and is consistent with a confidential detailed emergency response plan at the school building level.
