At Abram Lansing, we’re more than just a school, we’re a community. This includes our dedicated staff, amazing students, supportive parents and families, and our neighbors.
Our goal is to nurture well-rounded individuals who are ready to succeed in life. We focus on providing a strong foundation in academics, like math and reading, while also emphasizing important life skills like kindness, responsibility and creativity.
We believe in providing a strong academic foundation for all students. Our teachers are committed to creating engaging and challenging learning experiences that create a love of learning. We use a variety of instructional methods, including hands-on activities, technology integration, and differentiated instruction, to ensure that every student reaches their full potential.
Every day starts with a reminder to “stay humble and kind” and we actively seek out moments of joy in our learning. Throughout the year, we engage in weekly “spread kindness like confetti” challenges to foster a culture of compassion within our school and community.
We invite you to join us in creating a nurturing and supportive environment at Abram Lansing.
Sincerely,
Cliff Bird
Attendance
Regular attendance is a necessary requirement for the learning process. The intent of this requirement is to encourage good student attendance and discourage the frequent, unnecessary and casual absences that characterize the attendance records of some students. It is hoped that its implementation will serve to improve student school attendance and thus improve the student’s academic and social achievement as a member of the school community.
In the case of a student’s absence from school, parents are required to call the main attendance office at (518) 237-5044 by 8:00 a.m. to inform us of the reason for the student’s absence.
Learn more about our Attendance policy, including what is considered an excused absence vs. an unexcused absence.
Code of Conduct
Responsible behavior by students, teachers, other district personnel, parents and other visitors is expected as it is essential to achieving this goal. For this to happen, everyone in the school community must demonstrate and offer respect to others.
View the District Code of Conduct.
School Comprehensive Education Plans
A Comprehensive Education Plan is a strategic document that outlines a school’s goals and strategies for improving student learning and well-being.
