Principal Mark Perry

Welcome to Harmony Hill School! Here, we pride ourselves in providing a top learning environment by recognizing the needs of all of our students to help them meet their academic and social emotional needs. We even have a therapy dog, Rozie, who has been greeting students and families for 10 years.

There are two things that are important to student success: having great attendance and good behavior. We celebrate both through our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) celebrations throughout the year.

We look forward to you joining our Harmony Hill family! We encourage you to be as active as possible and see just how great the Cohoes City School District and the Harmony Hill School communities are!

Sincerely,
Mark Perry

Attendance

Regular attendance is a necessary requirement for the learning process. The intent of this requirement is to encourage good student attendance and discourage the frequent, unnecessary and casual absences that characterize the attendance records of some students. It is hoped that its implementation will serve to improve student school attendance and thus improve the student’s academic and social achievement as a member of the school community.

In the case of a student’s absence from school, parents are required to call the main attendance office at (518) 233-1900 by 8:00 a.m. to inform us of the reason for the student’s absence.

Learn more about our Attendance policy, including what is considered an excused absence vs. an unexcused absence.

Code of Conduct

Responsible behavior by students, teachers, other district personnel, parents and other visitors is expected as it is essential to achieving this goal. For this to happen, everyone in the school community must demonstrate and offer respect to others.

Meet Rozie the Therapy Dog!

On any given day, Harmony Hill’s resident golden retriever can be found greeting our students and staff as they arrive, making classroom visits, playing games or just providing comfort and support.

Mr. Perry’s furry assistant became certified during a year-long process with Therapy Dogs International in Guilderland.
